Before dedicating his focus to the financial sector, Jason owned and operated a successful California-based construction S-Corporation. This "boots-on-the-ground" experience provided a firsthand understanding of the challenges small business owners face—from navigating Santa Barbara County permitting and labor compliance to managing high-stakes project budgets and construction schedules.
Today, Jason is bridging that operational expertise with advanced tax authority. Currently an IRS Enrolled Agent (EA) candidate, he is executing a rigorous professional development plan to provide clients with elite-level tax representation and resolution services. His vision for the near future is to evolve Blakemore Bookkeeping into a comprehensive tax and advisory firm that offers a "Family Office" experience—integrating secure, cloud-based practice management with proactive tax-advantaged retirement planning like SEP IRAs and Solo 401(k)s. Additional services will include forensic accounting and fraud examination, following licensing as a CPA and CFE.
